Trim Levels
Three versions of the all-new Kia K4 Hatchback are available to begin with. These are the standard appearance Kia K4 Hatch model, the GT-Line, and the GT-Line Turbo. All variants boast the same floating roof design that glides beautifully towards the fastback-style rear of the new Kia K4. Every version looks stunning, but the GT-Line variants follow other GT-Line models in the Kia family by adding that extra level of sporty energy. GT-Line specific features include a three-spoke steering wheel, paddle shifters, 18-inch alloy wheels, and gloss black mirror caps, side sills, and wheel arch mouldings. The GT-Line Turbo also has small cube LED projection headlights, LED fog lights, a power sunroof, and 16-inch front brakes.
Performance
The standard powerplant under the hood of the all-new Kia K4 Hatchback and Kia K4 Hatchback GT-Line is the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine as the Kia K4 sedan. This lively unit develops a healthy 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque. This is sent to the front wheels through an intelligently variable transmission (IVT). However, if you’d like something more powerful, the Kia K4 GT-Line Turbo gets you a 1.6-litre turbo-four engine. That increases the Kia K4 Hatchback’s output to 190 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque, and this time it goes to the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both the GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo versions of the Kia K4 Hatchback feature a sportier suspension setup for more engaging driving dynamics. Evasive Steering Assist is available for the GT-Line Turbo, and this can help the car avoid obstacles in certain situations when space allows.
Features and Technology
A dual digital display spanning almost 30 inches of dashboard real estate is the standout feature of the Kia K4 Hatchback interior. The driver-focused cockpit has an intuitive layout with easy access to all the car’s advanced features. All trim levels feature standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, along with wireless phone charging capability. A raft of advanced Digital Features and Services are available or included, depending on the trim level. These features enable owners to access Premium Data Services, including Vehicle Software Over-the-Air updates, music streaming, and WiFi hotspot capability, through the Kia Connect Store. Meanwhile, the Kia Connect generative AI-based voice assistant gives drivers control over key vehicle functions by simply saying, “Hey Kia.” Functions that can be accessed this way include adjustments of climate-control settings, audio settings, and plenty more. The enhanced Voice Recognition feature is one that drivers will actually use. That’s because, as well as being able to suggest places to visit and allow you to play voice-activated games, it can even answer specific questions about the owner’s manual without you needing to look them up.
