2026 Kia EV4 Arriving in Canada Early 2026 — Kia’s First All-Electric Sedan
Kia is stepping into new territory with the launch of the 2026 Kia EV4, its first-ever all-electric sedan. Unveiled at the 2025 New York International Auto Show, the EV4 aims to shake up the EV market with a mix of bold design, impressive range, and advanced tech. Canadian drivers can expect front-wheel drive (FWD) models in early 2026, with all-wheel drive (AWD) versions arriving later in the year.
Sporty, Modern Design
Following Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, the EV4 blends natural inspiration with a sleek, tech-forward look. Its low nose, fastback roofline, and long-tail silhouette give it a sporty edge, while vertical LED headlights, Kia’s signature Star Map lighting, and a fresh take on the Tiger Face grille make it instantly recognizable.
At the back, vertical taillights, a two-piece roof spoiler, and a wide stance create a confident road presence. Wheel options range from 17-inch alloys on Light and Wind trims to 19-inch alloys on GT-Line models. The GT-Line also gets exclusive exterior details for a bolder look.
Comfortable, Tech-Filled Interior
Inside, the EV4’s open and minimalistic cabin combines soft-touch finishes with high-quality materials. A floating interface and two-spoke steering wheel add to the modern vibe, while available dynamic ambient lighting enhances the atmosphere.
The nearly 30-inch widescreen display integrates Kia’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system, with dual 12.3-inch screens plus a dedicated climate control display. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard, and over-the-air (OTA) updates keep the tech fresh.
Practicality is also built in — with generous passenger space, flat-folding rear seats, and plenty of cargo capacity.
Performance & Range
The 2026 Kia EV4 offers two battery choices:
- 3 kWh (Light trim) — up to 378 km estimated range
- 4 kWh (Wind, GT-Line, and higher trims) — up to 531 km estimated range (482 km for some variants)
Both are paired with a 150 kW front motor, with AWD available on long-range trims. Built on Kia’s E-GMP platform, the EV4 delivers a low drag coefficient of just 0.23 Cd for better efficiency.
DC fast-charging takes the battery from 10% to 80% in about 29–31 minutes, and every EV4 comes with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port.
Extra Features for Convenience
- Kia Digital Key 2.0 for smartphone entry and remote functions
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) to power electronics like laptops and camping lights
- Kia i-Pedal 3.0 one-pedal driving, now with reverse function
- Available ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, and premium climate control
Advanced Safety & Driver Assistance
The EV4 comes with Highway Driving Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist. Optional features include Remote Smart Parking Assist for tight spaces.
